Even tho there is no direct relation to the episode's subject, I think you should have mentioned that as a rule R18 is not the best move (in reply to P18). S18 instead is best for White. If White S18, the simple sequence follows: Black Q19 atari, White R18 connects, Black O17, White S16, Black P15. That shape (S18 instead of R18) is always better for White. Main reason: it leaves less ko threats for B
